How RockBox Works

You don’t need to be a boxer to train like one. At RockBox Spring, our coaches will work with you one-on-one before class begins so that you can get the basics down. From there, you’ll find it easy to follow along with our guided group classes, which incorporate bag punching, strength building and calorie-torching cardio during a 50-minute session. Because we like to keep people on their toes, no two sessions are the same. That means your next class will be a whole new experience. You’ll never be bored and you’ll always be motivated!

Our boxing-based classes attract men and women of all ages and fitness levels. No matter where you are along your fitness journey, you’ll fit right in! Whereas other gyms have wall-to-wall mirrors, we operate a judgement-free studio where it doesn’t matter how you look – only how you punch.

The Benefits of a Boxing-Based Workout

It’s no secret that boxers are, pound-for-pound, the fittest athletes when it comes to speed, endurance and strength. That’s because boxing requires quick reflexes and explosive movement, resulting in a high-energy output unmatched by any other sport. But how do boxers get so fit? Watch them work out! Boxers do a combination of drills to build stamina and muscle mass: kicking, pulling, pushing along with kettlebells, dumbbells, pull-up bars and bands. Oh, and a whole lot of punching! You need to put your whole body into a good punch. Punch a bag for 20 minutes straight with proper form and you’ll quickly see why boxing is such an endurance challenge.

At RockBox Spring, we take the same approach to fitness. Our sessions incorporate more than 500 strength-building exercises. That’s means your routine will be anything but routine. Of course, the punching bag will be central to your workout. The best part? You won’t get punched!
