Fusing Boxing, Kickboxing & Functional Training

The first thing you should know about our classes is that they are never the same. Whether you come once a week or every day, you can count on always having a new set of exercises awaiting you when class begins. The RockBox Fitness workout is for everyone at every experience level, and no boxing experience is required. This workout is also all about you and we’ll never pit you against someone else – you’ll never get hit, but you will get fit. So, are you ready to rock?

Workout Overview

Our boxing-based fitness classes feature a dynamic combination of boxing and kickboxing with functional strength training. Each class is 50 minutes long and changes every day. You’ll circulate through two different boxing stations for half of the class, and rotate through 8-12 iPad kiosks, each with a different functional exercise, for the other half. Each kiosk has over 900 different exercises loaded into them, ensuring variety with every class. During any given workout, you can expect to punch, kick, push, pull, and more. Some workouts will incorporate kettlebells, dumbbells, benches, pull-up bars, and bands.

Wrap Up

You’ll prepare for our class just as a professional would: wrapping up your hands and wrists. The primary purpose of wrapping up your hands is to protect your joints and bones. The wraps will provide a protective barrier and help you avoid any injuries or uncomfortableness. Never wrapped up before? No problem. Our trainers will teach you how to wrap your hands and hit the bags like a champ.

Warm Up

No matter what kind of exercise you are about to do, warming up is key. We’re not gonna lie, our workouts are challenging. So before we get going, we want your cardiovascular system ready for what’s to come. Our warm-up is dynamic, engaging, and designed to get your muscles firing. Best of all, it will help reduce the risk of injury. Get ready to rock hard and hit even harder.

Hit It

It’s time to get punching – and kicking. Our expert trainers will talk you through every boxing combo and cheer you on as you hit your way through the workout. If this is your first class, you’ll learn the six punches and three kicks before the class begins, and we’ll always be there to help you throughout the workout.

Push It

Kicking and punching are just one part of our workouts. We also mix in functional, strength-building exercises that target every muscle group. These moves complement the previous portion of the workout to maximize fat burning and muscle building. You can expect to work with free weights, kettlebells, bands, and more.

Own It

You’ve put in the work and given it all you’ve got – so now it’s time to wipe your brow and cool down. This cooldown will allow your heart rate to slow and blood pressure to fall. We’d like to say that our workouts get easier, but in reality, you’re just going to get better. Pat yourself on the back and bask in the high that comes with finishing a RockBox workout – and we’ll see you back in the arena next time.
