RockBox Fitness Punches Into Kentucky Market

Category: Studio Spotlights

RockBox Fitness, a state-of-the-art fitness franchise concepts that combines boxing, kickboxing, and functional training into high-energy group workouts, has announced plans for its first Kentucky studio.

The new studio, located at 1831 Cave Mill Road, Suite 103-104 in Bowling Green, will be owned and operated by lifelong Bowling Green resident Seaton Sheldon. Sheldon is slated to open his RockBox studio by the end of the year.

A former Division One baseball player, Sheldon is no stranger to fitness and health. In addition to his collegiate baseball career, Sheldon spent time at the family pharmacy business as a pharmaceutical technician, and currently works for a bio-technology company that provides BEMER, a product that enhances holistic general health. He has experience as a personal and group fitness trainer, and has also worked with over a dozen professional athletes.

“I’ve always been passionate about fitness and I was looking to take it to the next level when I found RockBox,” Sheldon stated. “Having experience as a personal trainer, I’ve seen how much fitness can change people’s lives, and that is what I am looking forward to doing with my RockBox location. RockBox’s unique workouts and exciting atmosphere provide real results for its members and I am looking forward to sharing the RockBox experience with the Bowling Green community.”

Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, RockBox has adapted and continued to provide services to members through the launch of RockBox Remote, an online workout portal to help members workout while quarantining at home. The portal provided members with access to nutritional guides, over 20 written body-weight workouts/circuits, accountability sheets, food journals, and checklists. It also provided members with the opportunity to stream live workouts and meet one-on-one with coaches.

Founded in 2017 and franchising since early 2018, RockBox Fitness was built to avoid the number one problem with any fitness program – boredom. The studios feature all the boxing equipment and heavy bags one would expect for a boxing- and kickboxing-based workout, plus an array of functional training tools like kettle bells, battle ropes and sleds (elliptical and treadmill machines need not apply). In addition, the studios are equipped with high-end sound systems to rock the tunes that keep members pumped and pushing hard. Color-adaptive lighting is also used to cue another level of psychological motivation. When the lights change, so does the intensity.

“It is very fulfilling to see RockBox continue to grow in markets across the United States,” said Roger Martin, Chief Commercial Officer and co-founder of RockBox Fitness. “Seaton’s passion for fitness and dedication to helping others achieve their goals is what RockBox is all about. We are happy to welcome Seaton to RockBox Nation and look forward to seeing him grow RockBox in the Bowling Green community.”

RockBox has four different membership types from which to choose, ranging from unlimited training sessions to private lessons. Each trainer is professionally certified, accredited and has years-upon-years of experience boxing and kickboxing.
